Re: Powerslide FSK Hardcore Evo ?

Conclusion 2: CBR people are just wonderful and put up with you for much longer than you should be allowed to (approx 2hrs 15 mins, I believe). Thanks David and the other guy whose name I don't know (and Andrew too) Ivan was the other guy that helped you. David and Ivan always take a lot of time wi...

Re: Powerslide FSK Hardcore Evo ?

a few thoughts after 2 hours on my brand new EVOs yesterday. Potential buyers may find this useful. 1. Went into CBR fully determined to buy Seba highs (sturdier on street, more tested, not a beta version). 2. BUT fell in love with the lightness of the EVOs ÔÇô┬áa welcome drop in weight after 3 year...

Has no one else seen this? I am not a good enough judge to express an opinion ÔÇô┬ábut I dare say that there aren't that many freestyle skaters to learn from or skating opportunities in Saudi so I would say well done to all of you.

Re: irish street skates

I had a great time skating around Dublin. It's a really easy, entertaining, rewarding skate. I even kinda bumped into a fellow Seba-wearer in a pub and did random street skating with him, with loads of pit stops at pubs obviously. His name was, guess what, Paddy. I still have his number somewhere. H...

Re: LFNS 9 May - Return to Hackney

great route! and takes me straight home. May I just correct you though, just in case people need transport info ├óÔé¼ÔÇ£ tons of buses going everywhere from there, yes, including Liverpool st, but the train from Hackney Central does not go to Liverpool street ├óÔé¼ÔÇ£ it heads west, Islington ├óÔé¼Ô...

Re: Heel brake - to remove or not?

Front T/New York stop is even more awesome in the wet!!!!! Nectarina, I see what you're saying, but none of that makes a heelbrake lethally dangerous. All you're saying is that you also need other skills to survive on the street, which I think is probably fairly common knowledge. I'm sure that most...

Re: Heel brake - to remove or not?

what's flat-spotting? I have been in many a solo or unmarshalled street-skating situation where if I had relied on a heel brake I would definitely have been roadkill Flat-spotting is when you wear a flat spot on a wheel so that it's no longer round. I don't understand the second part - I've never b...

Re: Upper Age Limit for Freestyle Slalom?

Dataidar, I haven't mentioned to you that I am part of the mid-life crisis brigade, too ├óÔé¼ÔÇ£ hence my admiration for your skills. I haven't got that far in my three seasons back on skates, and have certainly gone nowhere near ramps in this time (although I now do stairs, yay! thanks to Q). Downh...

Re: Upper Age Limit for Freestyle Slalom?

I think that orange Sebas are way more beautiful than a Porsche as an antidote to midlife crisis. Not to mention the impact on the environment. Dataidar, if you've only been on skates for 6 months your list of achievements is very impressive. Were you a skater as a kid? or are you conveniently equip...

well Asha it must be true, females street skaters get less abuse ├óÔé¼ÔÇ£ definitely nothing like what described here by male skaters. I find cyclists are the worst though
