Skating with earphones

Please find below Matt Seaton's column in yesterday's Guardian. Admittedly he writes about cycling, but I think his reasoning applies just as well to skating. I.e. solo skating. Organised nightskates are a different story, as the music is provided for collectively through rapidly advancing technolog...

be amusing to see the skate 'disperse' in all directions over the city, and have some officer have to explain to his boss that he ordered it under threat of arrest. It happened for a few weeks in a row back in Paris - the Friday skate had stopped being allowed but thousands of punters continued on ...

Next wednesday, or perhaps the 9th, I hope to introduce my new hot hi-viz Marshall PANTS, which can be combined with the T-shirt, but make the vests rather superfluous.

You're so right, Naomi, it IS a very slick and smooth operation, honed in years of practice and experience, and with a remarkable lack of formal, organisational or hierarchical structure. Like a beehive, or an ant colony. A structural sociologist's wet dream!

I do read German, but there's nothing specific in the text. I tried to find out through the Salomon website, but no clues there either.
