Re: Yes, it's time to turn the lights out

This is so SAD. I check on serpentine road most working days and although I don't really know you I love you all. I've only been on a couple of Sunday strolls but they were great. London is quite far for me and I am getting less and less fit. I don't know any of you on Facebook except for Asha. Hugs...

I Hope you had a good time in London and met up with somebody. I'm afraid this forum is very very quiet at the moment.

That was a wonderful skate and a glorious day altogether. Thanks Asha and everybody for organising it.
Only sorry I ignored the offer of sun cream.

I concur! Compared to you I'm ancient and very overweight but skate when I can locally and love it. I've been on a couple of Sunday skates and everyone on them is friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. - Dont miss out!

Thanks Asha for a fantastic skate. Great fun and very welcoming. My first skate with music and I loved it. Must get dance lessons. Sorry we had to peel off early - I had intented to come back but got sidetracked. I hope to see you all again before too long.

Re: Countryside skate routes

The crab and winkle way from Canterbury to whitstable is mostly dirt track - I would not want to skate it. However the part that runs from tescos to the sea front is fun you can then take the sea front promenade towards Herne Bay turning back to the road at the caravan park, follow the road east, un...

Re: Your roller blading opinion.

1. Mine really are Rollerblades. 2. Several years (about 5) but am pretty crap because I dont get out much and hardly ever get to the London skates. 3. I love my skates but it does take a while to get them on - time wasted when I should be skating. I also just lost an axle. OK ok I should have check...

Also skates are easier to keep in a bag under your desk etc.

That's not fair. RR meant lively.

Lively would be fine. feisty could mean more than you intend. Nobody could genuinely misunderstand "spunky" but some people will find sexual innuendo in the most innocent context.

It's practically a national sport.
