Re: Goodwood Roller Marathon - 14th Aug 2011

I just wanted to pop along and say a big thank you to all of the speedskaters that welcomed me into the pacelines on my first ever roller marathon! I felt a little out of place on my quads but I was made to feel quite at home after a few laps; I finished in 1h39m (overall rank 25) and the fastest qu...

Re: Hockey Tomorrow?

Can somebody help shed some light on where I might buy decent/not expensive street hockey sticks from? I'm gonna start playing up here in Leeds and don't know the first thing about what/where to buy!

Yeah I do have to agree on that Nomes- it'd be good to see some representation but IMO there may be a big community and growing scene but the vast majority of stuff that people learn in rinks and at roller discos is done so by watching and learning or a few friendly tips here or there... Kinda like ...

pondo- it's a strap that you can hook around the back of your heel and over the tope of your foot to keep your heel locked in place better- great if you have skates where you suffer from heel-lift of else for custom build quads etc in boots that weren't really made to be skates... a lot of the old f...

powerstraps

I today got hold of a pair of powerstraps for my skates after many years of wanting a pair- haven't tried them out yet but they seem pretty good quality! I didn't realise you could get them in the UK until I was looking through a pricelist the other day and thought i'd order a pair! Just wondering i...

I can also recommend Doh-Doh bushings if you can't find clouds- doh-dohs are available at most skateboard shops and are quite pricey but well worth it. I think blue are medium and yellow are soft- i usually go for soft myself but have used blues too and they're pretty similar. Can't get on with hard...
