Re: SkateLondon 2012

Thank you Jason! And Rick, set up is at 9.00 - it would be awesome if you could make it for then, failing that, battle kicks off at 10.00. Thank you very much! :)

Re: SkateLondon 2012

There will be plently of time for both Jason I'm sure! We'd be really pleased to have your help... particulary for speed slalom I think (womens, as I presume you are competing in the mens) and some cone picking

Re: SkateLondon Results & thanks etc

Ah is that you? :)

I wasn't aware of you disappearing at an inappropriate moment... well I can't remember it now anyway, although that's not to say it didn't happen - my brain got totally scrambled and I have forgotten big chunks of the weekend... :? But anyway, even if you did you're forgiven!

Re: SkateLondon Results & thanks etc

Lovingrise for flyer/t-shirt design!! (l) And my huge personal thanks go to William for appearing out of nowhere like superman and handing out goody bags whilst I was coping solo with a registrations rush on Saturday morning. My hero! And ManicStar who was helping before that... And French JB of cou...

Re: SkateLondon feedback thread

Good idea, but it depends on what's happening on the Freestyle side of things. I suspect the slalomers/internationals would be less included to do bladercross if they were due to do a freestyle event afterwards. I think JB wouldn't have done it if he'd been competing in a 'serious' event afterwards ...

Re: For my mental health... please register for SkateLondon!

I've registered ages ago but can't find any follow ups on how/who to pre-pay so I haven't paid anything yet. Should I have seen something? You should have received this email on Friday... It went to all registered riders. Hi all, I want to remind everyone to pay their registration fee online before...

Re: Why should I *NOT* get the FR1s?

My experience breaking in my Highs was pretty similar to altsk8rs - only managing up to an hour at a time to start with. This was not my experience with FR1s though - the fit is a lot more relaxed, and therefore the breaking in is less of a big deal. They do of course feel tighter to start with and ...

Re: ESA Eastbourne Extreme 17th-18th July 2010

I think they just mean 'normal' battle and rookie battle. We don't really have 'pro' skaters and I think seperating out sponsored skaters would be a bit odd.

Re: ESA Eastbourne Extreme 17th-18th July 2010

I've had a reply from ESA and they've now put some more info on their website: http://www.eastbourneskaters.co.uk/Eastbourneslalomcomp.htm The slalom 'pro' competition will be happening on the Saturday (17th) - no times yet but I'll be asking for these. Registration is free if you do it before 15th ...

Re: How to do the X???

Also - you're asking about the 'driving foot' - I'd say your weight, and the force you're exerting, is even across both feet throughout the move. Putting more weight or force on one or the other will leave you with a wonky, out of synch X.

Re: How to do the X???

The first vid is a heal-toe block combined with the X - much harder than just the X if you ask me! That 'simple X' is just ugly, and I don't see how its going to help you learn 'proper' X Learn the 'proper' X first, like in the Muno vid you originally posted (its not a jumping X) - that should be wh...

Thanks Becca... so did I miss that link somewhere? Still no info on date or timings that I can see, so I'm still assuming it's all happening on Saturday... It would be good to know what time things are kicking off and planned to finish by so we can plan our travel. And it would be good to know about...
