Waitrose Belgravia - Sunday Strollers Please Read!

On Sunny Sundays a lot of Sunday Stroller's like to hang out in the park after the skate for a picnic, an activity that usually goes hand-in-hand with a visit to the nearest supermarket for solid and liquid supplies shortly after 4pm. The nearest and most popular supermarket destination is the Waitr...

Chelsea flower show innit. Skated past there tonight (Friday goes that way too) and it seems ok, if a bit busier than usual.

Correct. I did PM Stevie earlier in the week, he says it won't be needed for Wed*, if that changes let me know.

*because the LondonSkate transmitter is out instead, just to be clear.

Re: Brakes

You're asking people to pay as much as a new pair of skates for a brake, something that many skates don't come with at all. I don't see who your target market are. - Brakes are useless and unnecessary for slalom. - They are illegal in speed competition. - Agressives don't need them. - Free skaters w...

It's definitely wrong. Just don't sign in that case, let the post office return it.

The right thing to do would be return to sender, it costs you nothing and leaves you on the moral high ground.

Re: Lacing a pair of Seba FR's

1) Remove laces 2) Throw them away. 3) You are done. In all seriousness, this is a pretty common coping method for FR1 owners, including me back in the day. They're built like tanks, you hardly need the laces. Some opt to lace the lower 4 or 6 holes for a bit of added stiffness and then don't bother...

Re: Frame replacement

Precisely why it's worth contacting Blue Room, they bought up a lot of Salomon stock when Salomon exited the skate business. They still stock Salomon heel brakes and hand sliders for example and can even sell you a limited range of Salomon skates.

Re: Frame replacement

95% sure Blue Room or Slick Willies will stock them in central London, probably cost about 2 quid. Worth a quick trip into town, or a phone call if you want to ask first.

Skating consumes wheels, deal with it. Better you just enjoy yourself and budget for it.

Was in the shop at Nomades this afternoon and am not surprised, they seem very accomplished at completely ignoring customers.
