Re: Wheel size

You are quite correct in your assumption that the wobbliness is down to buying mens' skates rather than womens' only. Mens' skates are designed to counterbalance the swing of the willy and balls as the man skates along. Have you considered using the mens' skates with a Chorizo stuffed down your skir...

Roll ball

I've just heard about this. It's handball on roller skates, using a basketball. Sounds fun and more interesting than the futility of roller soccer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBGAvvw-wDI

What is a coarse surface? - all I can think of is coarse sand. I don't wish to skate on sand.

It does clash with an event down south as well

Re: Exercises to help with ankle impingement

Draw the alphabet with your ankles twice a day. If you are doing both ankles simultaneously (normally whilst not standing up) then you may find it easier to trace the letters with your left ankle backwards

Re: Hi from Middlesex

Hello, welcome to the forum. On the basis that middlesex probably doesn't exist I'm not sure where you are, but I live in Ealing, which was also middlesex. There are a few places near me to skate but I mainly go into central London. Where are you based? Assuming you are far out west, If you live nea...

Re: Halloween Skate & After Party Sat 27th Oct

I think smokers preferred the Smithfield, as it's rather annoying queueing up in order to go out for a fag. If your giving up smoking wasn't going so admirably Stevie you'd have noticed. Smokers are the minority though so I could expect the majority preferred the new venue.

Sunday Snail Stroll 28 October - go

it's a snail stroll, not just because its the end of the month but some of the marshals feel a little delicate.

Re: Swiss bearings

Wild Phil - I've only just run out of the Bones Reds you gave me for the Lord Mayors' thing three years ago, might think about ceramics.

Qn - I Know the balls are china but the casings look metal - won't they rust in the wet and thus make the non-rusting balls irrelevant?

Re: Motorblades!!

Well, you could get tax relief of 50% on what you invest in a startup. If the thing fails you get to write the cost off against tax, if it becomes the next facebook and is worth billions (Please note - this will not happen with Motorblades), then your gain on the sale of shares is tax free.

Re: Music to skate to

Interested in what metal you would listen to Courtainis? Dragonforce is too much, meshuggah is impossible to keep a rhythm to, in flames is the same pace but too samey. Nin too many slow songs. Hmm... must develop playlist If I want to do an endurance session I find the opposite to pumping music is ...

Judging by distended morning belly:
Friday night marshalling burns more calories than 3 pints of real ale
Wednesday night puntering burns less calories than 3 pints of real ale

Re: New here, been skating long time!

Everyone seems to be going out on Eurostar on Saturday morning (as it is only five hours from London) but all coming back at different times dependent on whether people can get Monday off work. It is technically feasible to get the Eurostar back to London on Sunday night after the marathon (but I ca...
