Re: DIY skate customization

Yeah, I painted over the awful KSJ gold as well.

I put some info, including photos and a paint manufacturer link here:

Re: Brief review of KSJs vs EVOs

I never saw the WFSC's for sale in any shop in Europe and I don't know if they were really produced, they were announced in the Seba 2013 range in black, not gold. Here you go: http://www.onlineskateshop.nl/4722/skates/freeskate/seba-wfsc-free-skate I can't really see the point of them, unless Seba...

. . . though I still prefer Igor over KSJ/Trix. Or I would if my ankle could still fit in the carbon cuff post-surgery.

Re: After Seba Trix...

I don't think that Trix and Igor are comparable. They seem to me that they have different target groups. The igor is clearly aimed at slalom (pre-rockering/sliders) while the Trix is more of an all around skate (comes in 90mm editions as well). I use the Trix 80 and they are kinda comparable regard...

Yes, I like to collect skates. In lieu of practice.

Re: After Seba Trix...

Different responses....lol. I appreciate it guys. Atlsk8r, what do you do with your seba high then? You didnt mention it much My Highs are a bit heavy and wide compared to the Igor/Trix, so I don't really use them for slalom. I was using them for ramps/skatepark, though I've got FR-A for that now. ...

Re: After Seba Trix...

Oh yeah. Regarding the questions of liner. The liner on my new KSJs is definitely an improvement in durability over my old-model Igors. However, I think the 2012 and new Igors have the improved liner as well, so that is probably a wash.

Re: After Seba Trix...

Hmmmm. Interesting question. I own Highs, Igors, and KSJs. KSJs seem pretty identical to Trix (though a bit lighter and golder), but I've only skated Trix once, so I can't claim much first-hand knowledge of differences in performance. But, comparing KSJ and Igor, I think they have a very different f...

Re: An introduction and a question... (best urban skates?)

I agree with Phil that you will feel the bumps in the road riding a pair of Igors. But having done some speed skating, I'm used to the sensation. Some people judge this to be an irritant. Others liken it to how you feel the road in a high-performance sports car. It's really just a matter of taste, I...

Re: An introduction and a question... (best urban skates?)

This is the favorite all-purpose skate I've owned. http://universkate.net/sebaskatesv2/roller/igor/ http://www.skatersplace.ca/photos/seba-igor-2012/igor.jpg Carbon fiber. Relatively light. Excellent frame. Extremely stiff and high-performing, if you're into that kinda thing. It's proved more durabl...

Re: Driller Killer

Yeah, the surgery was probably due to skating. Apparently, I had unknowingly broken the bone that connects the foot to the leg a few years ago. I thought the swelling was just due to some speed skates I was wearing at the time in preparation for A2A race, so I kept skating on it. Over time, this cau...

Re: Driller Killer

Yeah, I used to have a pair of Twisters several years ago. Good skates for the price (though frame is a bit s!@# for slalom). My biggest complaint was how poorly the cuff accomodated my bony ankles. Turns out several people I knew had the same issue. RB didn't seem to be interested in addressing the...

Re: Seba iGOR sizing

Munobal videos are great, I learned many tricks from them myself. To be frank though, a number of them are outdated by now (fan volte for instance), and they haven't put out a new combo video in years. If you want to learn combos, Shadow Clan is probably your best bet for now. The first two are aim...

Re: Seba Wildstyle Stickers

I know Braian Legen from Argentina originally designed these and used to sell them himself before Seba picked them up. I'm not sure what the distribution of the stickers will be though. You could maybe check ordering them from South America, but that might get a bit expensive for shipping.

Re: Help with sevens !

A tight toe box does really seem to help with toe wheeling tricks. Good luck with that on K2s. Practicing wheeling circles will get you on the inside edge of your toe wheel, which is very important for 7s. freddy98 - that is probably the issue you were encountering. If you flip from your inside edge...

Re: Am I not suitable for igor pro?

I think you can adjust to the rocker, regardless of the type skating you do. If you say you like fitness skating, well the shorter effective wheelbase of a rockered setup will just build up that much more fitness. If you are set on 84mm wheels, you'll probably have to swap frames anyway, as neither ...
