Seba FR1 rip-off!

Perhaps, but some skaters might need the other hundredfifty quid for food, rent or a tat.

Re: RS-1 strapons

Now I'm trying to keep an open mind, but all the hysterical giggling around here is making it very hard to forget the stereotype that quad/inline skaters are all either little girls or gay. Say it ain't so. :o I can't (or won't) say if it's so or not but I will say that a strapon is no substitute f...

Lookin' fly, bay-beh. Semi-literally.
If I were to spend that much on sunglasses, history pretty much guarantees that they would be lost , stolen or scratched into uselessness within 6 weeks. When my (space) ship comes in, I'm gonna buy them by the case so I've always got one decent pair.

Re: Skating with sore feet.

I'm really disappointed.

I thought Lauracarolan was sure to get advice to ignore the pain, suck it up, have another cider, don't be such a weenie, etc. Instead she's given the message that it's possible that pain is nature's way of telling her to give it a rest? (shakes head) ;)

Re: Advice: Salomon Skates - need alan key

Whatever 4mm Allen key you use, just make sure you seat it as far inside as it will go and push in on the key as much as you turn it. The hex hole can be a snug fit and deeper than other Allen screws. I solemnly swear I'm not trying to start a removing-stuck-Allen-bolts thread. A pencil, pen or scre...

Re: Seba Sparkling Wheels

Standing still the wheels look like flying saucers. In motion, they look wonderfully demented. What's a tail devil? And where can I get some? I saw a very short video of someone causing sparks to shoot out from the back of his heel brake when applied. I imagine it would accelerate one's brake wear j...

Re: Goggles - good alternative to shades or fashion faux pas?

For twilight and night skating I bought a pair of clear safety glasses at a hardware, er.. DIY shop. They're shaped like wraparound Bolle'-ish sunglasses, are strong in the frames and quite scratch resistant. Very handy against flying insects and in your case tree shit. They also come in various sun...

Re: 5 wheel frame length.

I have 2 pairs of 5 X 80 frames, with axles, if you'd like some. $15US(about 8pounds), plus the very cheapest I can mail them to you. First pair: K2 Mod 8, new. Mounted once, never skated on. 7000aluminum. Second pair: Bont, don't know the model, not an extremely sculpted shape, decently light. Neve...

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hi, this is Tom from outside Seattle. Dougp has taught me a thing or two about slalom, which I've been dabbling in for a year and a half. I've been skating for about 12 years now, starting for fun and fitness and continuing for that feeling like being in a flying dream. I've had slalom workshops wit...

Err, I missed a thread. Has an upper age limit on freestyle slalom been officially established by the rulers of Slalom World? I'll shuffle off to take my fiber tablets while you discuss amongst yourselves.

Re: Anyone here own twisters with stripped ratchet straps?

Mine were former rentals and came to me pre-chewed in the middle section of teeth, but not totally stripped. They haven't gotten much worse, because I don't really need them much tighter than the intact teeth will get them. A replacement set from inlinewarehouse.com is on my to-do list but not until...
