Re: Yes, it's time to turn the lights out

Goodbye, was fun and now is the past unless you make a Serp Road app I can see why this will close.

Was fun, sad to see the WNS numbers so low.

Re: it was 10 years ago today...

Those were the days. But my main memories are of my first one in 2000. I remember turning up in my Hypnos and being so intimidated by Shaun's speech about how only the most amazing awesome superhero skaters should go on the main skate that I stayed behind and had Asha teach me how to use my non-exi...

Re: it was 10 years ago today...

Thanks for the link Naomi. Those were the best days and some of the the most worrying. For the record I took the skate on the road because a streetskate on the pavements is dangerous and it could have ended all streetskates with an accident. Some of us from the Park had been skating streets for year...

I live work and skate in SPB. There is a large streetskate Friday from outside the Hermitage (Winter Palace) at night up to 45 kilometres. There is also a long but easier skate on Sundays from Metro Sportivnaya i think it leaves around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. In fact I just googled and found the wr...

Swap wheels from one skate to the other when braking wears them down turning the wheels so the worn edge face out. Then when the front wheel is pretty worn stick a new 80mm on the back and move all the others forward.

Friday night Skate - Saint Petersburg Russia

The skate starts from outside the Hermitage. I was told about 11pm but we did not set of until about 12am. The skate starts at this time because the metro finishes at 12am and starts again at 5am. The roads are also clearer at this time. This enables people from far out to get there and back on the ...

It was a really good day. the skate had fast bits but all the skaters seemed to have big reserves of stamina just long steady skating. Apperently tonight though I have just found out it is big celebrations. A lot of people leave school today and they put on big parties everywhere with a lot of live ...

Sunday Skate

Put my skates on for the first time in a year on Sunday. I was skating near the Hermitage Saint Petersburg Russia and i managed to catch onto some Moscow skaters that were heading for a Sunday street skate. They met at around three from SPORTIVNAYA Metro and apparently this was a begginers skate. Ab...
