Re: Southport man prosecuted for rollerblading

I think the reaction of the court balanced the over reaction of the police in having to prove that he was unsafe. He was a bit silly skating there after a caution but if common sense existed in certain law enforcement circles they would have just gone over to him and said come on just move on. The m...

Re: Southport man prosecuted for rollerblading

The mental image of one of the street skates being stopped by the Police and everyones skates being seized because we are seen as a danger to the public is one that would never happen or I hope it would not. Yes the Police over reacted to the situation but what is new. But surely he could find a bet...

Re: Barcelona Skate/Sonar

The Friday skate is more friendly. I have been working out here during the weekdays for 16 months and over all the skate scene is good.
Sorry to have missed you I was away that day.
You have to remember that the people of Barcelona are Catlans not Spanish and are more serious in nature.

What a great event, even better news is that it will run again next year due to number of people that came out.

But will Ken give us the promised road closure of the embankment every Sunday which was talked about two years ago. The people want it just give to us.

Thank you again for another well organised themed skate. My favorite quote from someone watching the skate on the pavement who was on his mobile phone was "Darling I going to late the road is blocked by hundreds of rabbits"

I can see LNS point it seems most of the whistles are at the front where people are packed together and there is more chance of a whistle going off in your ear.

I hate it when they are blown right in my ear, but cannot believe some people complaining about the noise of the skate. Is it a street skate or a funeral march?

I just think it'd be funny.

Was it three years ago we had one bloke turning up with an electric guitar but had some near misses hitting people with it.

Bit of a side point but why do people want to be at the front? I put it down to the herd mentality. I use to push to get to the front but now have chilled down to being at the middle. There is such a difference from the front to the back of the skate. Being at the back when we go on to Park Lane at...

It was on at 7.15am Sunday morning and my brain cell to work the record was not awake.
