Re: Dont think thay will catch on but stil cool..

Why bother doing it with sensors trying to work out the forces that are acting on the skates and instead use technology that reads brains waves? That way the additional force is applied where is is needed according to your thoughts and desires. Your brain knows when you're skating forwards, transiti...

I am sorry, but you are completely wrong ! 1. the Trix boot is identical to the KSJ 2 boot with just another external design/color scheme -> the Trix is a slalom boot , the one developed and used by Kim Sung Jin one of the top slalom hero and used by many others including Chloe Seyres http://www.ro...

Re: Seba Trix

I spoke to Seba about the Trix yesterday and he said the Trix is supposed to be the top end skate of the GT line, so what the Igor is to the high, the Trix is to the GT. If that's the case, then why doesn't it have as a standard option a 4*90 frame? (Not really a question aimed as you, Jason - but ...

Leaving Franko so soon?

Yeah, that was brilliant when Geoff started really skating to the music though, in every way it was a really gorgeous bit of skating.

are you talking about the gyros? what??

The back of the frames have a weird spur thing going on.

For what it's worth, French JB has been using Gyro frames with his carbons recently, you might want to ask him what he thinks of them.

I'm pretty certain that the standard Seba frames use series 6000 aluminium, whereas the all the deluxe frames uses series 7000.

I can't imagine what his parents are going through. Awful. Poor boy. Would it be appropriate to lay some flowers nearby, as a mark of condolences? There is a big heap of flowers there at the moment so I'm sure it would be. His mum was at hockey earlier today and extended an open invite to hockey ty...

Well I know who my nomination for mook of the year goes to... Seriously though, atleastinheaven, have you stopped for a moment to consider that you are the only person on this board castigating this man? There are a lot of skilled skaters who all seems to think what he did is perfectly acceptable, a...

Re: Good Slalom Spots in Paris?

Sweet. Sounds like Notre Dam might be the perfect slalom spot for me. Provided the cops leave me alone in the early morning. Les Invalides sounds cool too, so maybe I'll make a special trek one morning I think Les Invalides is worth it. I didn't get a chance to stop and slalom there when I was last...

Re: Good Slalom Spots in Paris?

Retry: Is it reasonable and entertaining to tag along in obscurity for one whom large social crowds might otherwise send rocking in a corner, sucking his thumb? Easily. It's very much a stop-start affair though, as they stop often for quite long periods to let the back catch up. It's okay, not as f...

Re: Alternative to FR1

Seba highs are a fantastic skate - once you break them in. They are a bit on the heavy side though as far as a slalom boot goes but will serve you well. As long as you don't have wide feet! The GTs won't take as much breaking in, but probably won't be as responsive as a properly broken in pair of hi...

They look interesting. Have you considered the standard seba frame in a 231? - like this (although the image is of a 243) http://www.locoskates.com/product_info.php?products_id=571 I do have the deluxe frame and it is totally worth the money. Nice and stiff and great for technical slalom tricks. It'...

Re: Not the Wednesday night skate.... testosterone or pootle?

Well, if you read my facebook event it does say something like 'feel free to start another skate from a different start point' That was pretty much the idea - it seemed to be pretty popular the first time, and as there are people who don't want to start east (and vice versa) it seems to be working ...
