Re: Slalom Skate Suggestion

Semi-related question - Just how important is having a good slalom skate when learning to freestyle? I've been trying some freestyle in my Rollerblade X7s (90mm on a 273mm frame), and while I'm making progress I definitely feel like the big wheels and frame are holding me back (although maybe I just...

Re: Moved to "The City of Rain" - need equipment suggestions

Its by the sea, where all you can see one side is the fjords, meaning endless of mountains. Only downside is all the wind and yes th...

Re: Moved to "The City of Rain" - need equipment suggestions

*Tries ignore how cold it would probably be!* I wish it was cold here, then it would be The City of Snow and I could take up skiing. :) Average weather for London over a year Average weather for Bergen over a year Bergen is on average only 2-3 degrees colder than London, but gets 3-4x the amount of...

Moved to "The City of Rain" - need equipment suggestions

I've just moved from the UK to Bergen in Norway , which has the unfortunately fitting nickname "The City of Rain". I've been here for over a week now and the weather seems to go: couple of hours of insane sideways rain, followed by a couple of hours of lovely sunshine. Combine that with th...

Re: Derren Brown gets stuck behind the Sunday Stroll

Derren Brown is in my opinion a total genius at being able to feel, manipulate and direct energy however he chooses. He can do this with his own mind bending 'tricks' but also in those of other people. He is truely one of the most sensitive people (as playing with energy to that degree is highly di...

Re: Introduce Yourself

I've been lurking on serpentineroad.com for the past two months or so that I've been back into skating after a 10+ year break. Funnily enough I just registered to ask about Norway. I'm moving to Bergen from the UK next week, so no more Sunday Strolls for me. :( Looking at rollers.no it seems like th...
