Re: Any feedback on Seba Storm bearings

Why does everybody recommend Seba? Maybe there are a lot of Seba associates or too much fanboyism? Good question. I believe the answer has nothing to do with the quality of seba made & designed products (which I believe to be very high) but to do with what the company does - they see who is mak...

Re: "HELP"... WHICH SEBA INLINE IS BEST

I'm not a fan of hard boots, I prefer High style boots as they fit tighter to the foot. But that is personal opinion, and people are pretty much split down the middle on it.

Re: Any feedback on Seba Storm bearings

Naomi, are you a Seba distributor? If yes, do they send you products for testing/evaluation? Yes I am and no they don't. I don't even know which skaters do the testing of the bearings - I'm on the Twincam skate team still, and we don't get sent prototypes, so I'm sure they have local skaters that d...

Re: What size is my FR1 shell?

Ah ok. The cuffs are sized differently.

There are 3 sizes of cuffs, and yours covers skates sized 43 (UK 9) to 47 (UK 12).

Re: Any feedback on Seba Storm bearings

I always thought they were just a re-branded twincam IQL-9 bearing, I may be wrong though. No, the 'Seba ILQ9 Slalom-Pro' (or some combination of those words) are Twincams, and as far as I know, all the rest of the Seba bearings (ILQ5, ILQ7, Titalium Freeride, Storm) are Twincams too. I've not trie...

LnS is right - no manufacturer is beyond having a bad batch, and so long as the manufacturer deals with it appropriately, you needn't hold it against them.

Re: What size is my FR1 shell?

Once you have the shell number, PM me and I'll check the skate sizes that it relates to. With FR1, most shell sizes serve 2 skate sizes. It doesn't work for Highs etc, which have one size per shell. SkateCrazy is one of the few shops in the world where you can have a full and fruitful conversation a...

Re: Freeskating vs. Powerblading: analysis

As skates evolve there is a crossover skate for mixing just about any two or more disciplines now... I guess "Powerblading" is the gap in the market that mixes Rec/Free with Aggro. Fair dues, if that's your thing. Modding and frankenskating has always been a favourite pasttime of the dedi...

Re: Freeskating vs. Powerblading: analysis

I think he was saying that those that talk the most about equipment are usually more interested in having opinions on equipment/skaters/tricks and less into actually going out & skating. Its just one of the facts of pretty much every sport or hobby that has ever existed. Those that fit into that...

Re: Freeskating vs. Powerblading: analysis

The two terms are just two different brand's marketing of freeride, which is vast, developing and thus undefined area of skating. Freeride was the generic term used, and Salomon branded it Freeskating (FSK) when it brought out it's range of skates. Then Seba named it's freeride skate 'Freeride', thu...

Re: I've been hurt before - Should I start using protection?

I do wish that I wore kneepads whenever I skate or am in my warehouse or desk (this is no joke, I knock my knees on my desk & stepladders continually and it really hurts) but I'm too lazy to wear them all the time, and find them annoying. They're certainly not restrictive, and they're also not u...

Mick said everything really. I don't think I'm into the risk though, but the rest of it. I don't really care much what I look like nowadays - I'm pretty over it, really, and yes I do wish that I wore kneepads whenever I skate or am in my warehouse or desk (this is no joke, I knock my knees on my des...
