Instructor needed for Dulwich school job

Skatefresh has been asked to deliver a regular school session but all our instructors are already busy teaching in other schools. I am happy to give away this job in it's entirety in order to fulfil the client. Here are some brief details; This is a regular after school skate club slot for 1.5 hours...

Re: "Continuous Backwards Crossovers"...

I hope the App helps your backward skating John. The Intermediate App begins the Backwards learning with 4 basic propulsion methods that need to be mastered so that the more advanced techniques of Backwards crossovers and Backwards crossunders taught in the Advanced App are then possible. People oft...

Re: Why skate backwards?

I would love to know which backwards method you are using to skate uphill easily. I use something called the 'top up' which is a fast propulsion combination of half a crossunder, and it works great for going up slopes, but it is intensive in terms of hard work. I would love a description of the easy...

Re: Why skate backwards?

It seems that non-skaters are much more easily satisfied with the 'because it's fun' explanation. It's other skaters who have decided they do not care for backward skating that give backward skaters a hard time in having to sometimes justify why one would do it. Skating is the ONLY sport where movin...

Will do, thanks Phil. Really appreciate it.
The roller disco scene up north is really happening. London could do with a slightly larger space than Vauxhall me thinks......

Re: Leeds Roller Disco Information

I know I ma about 9 years late on this conversation, but the SKate Fever website no longer works (http://www.skatefever.co.uk)

Does anyone know if SKate Fever is still happening in Leeds and if so their new website.

Thanks. Just trying to catch up.

Re: First Aid Course for skaters March 2013

Great, I have you guys on the list and your places are reserved. Ross will get in touch here with details of when and how to pay closer to the time. Could someone who is a marshal possibly spread this thread amonst marshals, as last time we did this is was deemed important for some marshals to have ...

Re: Why skate backwards?

Personally I find landing all jumps backwards much safer than landing forwards which if it goes wrong you land on your head (whereas a backwards landing gone wrong is a hands and knee scrape). Backwards skating uses different muscles and I find it more 'interesting' than forwards skating as I have m...

Male Quad skaters needed for performance

Last year while making a BBC Pilot TV show I met Lisa Truscott who is an amazing aeriastisiste. SHe spoke about wanting to mix aerial performance with skating and so the idea was born..... Re: Le Mans 2012 - Equipment Van

I will be there at 6.30pm as I need to make a speedy exit for a dinner date (mother in law's birthday). If anyone else is there early and the van hasn't come I might ask if I can leave my stuff and money with them so I can leave.
Thanks.

Re: Skatefresh's 13th Birthday Party - 11th August 2012

It would be great if you could come, you are part of the fixture! I'm afraid I can't have any people staying the night this year as I am now only living in the small room in my flat and the large room is rented out to a new flatmate (as I'm in London so much). I would be honoured if you could still ...

Re: Skatefresh's 13th Birthday Party - 11th August 2012

It makes me so happy there is now a 'Brighton Crew' to welcome down the London and other skaters. When this first happened for Skatefresh's 10th Birthday there were very few local skaters there. Watching Brighton develop and thrive as a skate community is really wonderful. It's going to be a fun day...

Brighton Indoor Winter Skate Jam - 24th Jan

I want to invite London's skaters to this very informal 'event' in Brighton. It's the last time we have the space at Roller Central just for us (ie private quiet session, not open to the public). Hope you can join me there. The floor is amazing, you wont get any better skate surface anywhere in UK a...
