Cool! There are a few skater/bikers around. I have a BMW S1000RR (y)
Will extend ride-out invitations to here in future I guess!

Wow Mit, that's a fire breathing beast you have there! Ride-outs could be fun.

I tried this a few years back. It resulted in a heavy pair of free skates, so I swapped back.

Interestingly, the same company that supply the bearings that Azumi suggested, also supply Swiss bearings and stainless bearings ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16-x-SWISS-ABEC-9-skate-board-ALL-BLACK-BEARINGS-/261043994717?pt=UK_Sporting_Goods_Skateboarding_Skating_ET&hash=item3cc76f405d#ht_500wt...

It's a bit out of the way for you I know, but Victoria Park is really nice now with smooth freshly resurfaced roadways free of traffic.

Yeah, mine are supposed to be waterproof, but I've never tried them in the wet, and TBH I wouldn't imagine that they will be totally waterproof. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16-X-SWISS-ABEC-9-skateboard-inline-roller-BEARINGS-/260918026062?pt=UK_Sporting_Goods_Skateboarding_Skating_ET&hash=item3cbf...

TBH I've never used that web-site, but I would have done had I seen it before I got my bag off eBay.

You'll be fine! I'm a similar age, and a pretty average skater at best. I recently volunteered to be a skating steward at a one-off night in Hackney downs. It was loads of fun!

Enjoy!!

Re: Hyper Urban wheels

78a, oh dear. BTW Phil 78a would last me only a month what with the bog tracks I usually roll on over here LOL! Yeah, they are very soft for outdoors, but they're not doing bad at all so far, with most of the surfaces I usually skate on being very smooth. Great rebound and grip though!! Edit: This ...

Re: Hyper Urban wheels

I was running Tech +Gs (83A) ... fast, but not enough grip for tight turns on some of the smooth surfaces I skate on (Barbican High Walk red brick paving). After sliding on my arse, I switched to slightly softer Hyper Razor Edges (78A) which I bought from an American eBay outlet for £20 + £10 post...
