St Petersburg?

Am spending a week-ish in Helsinki and St P in August. Am sorted in Helsinki cos am staying there with a friend who skates.

We're going to spend 3 days in St Petersburg and it's strikes me it might be a nice place to see by skate - anyone been and know some good places to skate there?

Depends a lot on the course, but my completely random guess would be 2h-2h30. And between now and then, get yourself to Mike's Long Slow Skates (if you're near London) for much useful advice on going faster [ Edit: but you're not, I notice now. Oh well ] cool, if i ask office to sponsor me i'll ask...

I've never done one of these and might see if I can get my office to sponsor me... what would be a ballpark time for an occasional skater who's trained a wee bit to do one of these?
