Re: S3 Powerslide Foot Size ... vs Seba

Powerslide have 2 flagship skates the S3 and the Hardcore EVO. The EVO is prices a little higher because it is made of carbon fibre and hence lighter and gives you more support. however, it has a very wide ankle area whcih doens't sound rigth for you. the toe area is very narrow however so it depend...

Re: SkateLondon Event, August 2009 [exec. summary in 1st post]

Could we perhaps do a few slalom busking sessions to raise some money for the event? this would also encourage people to attend the event on the actual day.

perhaps one at trafalgar square and one at southbank?

Re: European and asian style freestyle skating?!

It means that CJ is in it, but its mostly Europeans. GRRR....racist bitch.. you're just jealous coz we wouldn't let u into our video ;) I quite like Le Xuan and CJ's flowing style of slalom. I just need to work on it a little..... First time I've been compared to Xuan :P. I think its important to d...

Re: Seba Carbon Pro

If you're into wheeling tricks, The SEBA Carbon is a very good skate and definitely worth the extra cost compared to the High 2008 and High Deluxe Contrary to marketing pithces, the carbon shell doens't actually feel very much lighter. The main difference is the added stability when you go up on the...

Re: Rollervillage Opening Gala

Thanks Ange,
2 pieces of info that would be helpful:

1. What time does the event start and end.
2. For those of us coming over, is hanging out at the rink until we can catch the first train home the next morning an option?

Re: seba highs! ....

YOu shouldn't get a size bigger. the whole point of getting SEBA highs is so they fit snugly to your feet. ie. they're more responsive to the subtle movements your feet make. if comfort is what you're looknig for SEBAs definitely don't serve that purpose. ask SEBA himself if he makes size 4s surely ...

Re: Help for Amys - split from Introductions Thread

if u fine the sticks and frequent collisions and manhandling too overwhelming your other option is to skate along serpentine road and look out for a bunch of skaters skating around cones, they'll be happy to show u around as well. I was kidding about the hockey guys. they're lovely and most helpful....

Re: Seba Carbon Pro

Here's my 2 cents worth. The Carbon boot itself isn't actually noticably lighter than the 08s. It's the Frame that makes makes all the difference. I skated with the new boot but my old frames for about a month before replacing the frames. The real benefit of the carbon boot IMHO ( and Tiziano's ) is...

Re: Good and cheap skates?

I've been slalom skating in hockey skates under 100quid for 3 years. I reckon they're actually better in the beginning, lighter and more responsive, its only when you need that extra ankle support that the hockey skates fail you. Having said that I've just recently switched to a pair of sebas. I'm t...
