Re: New Skate Brake Kickstarter

Good luck with it, but I'd advise not to give up the day job for the following reasons: * Inlining is well past its peak of popularity, probably not declining any more, but now mainly just an adult activity * The device is seriously uncool * I mainly only break (T-stop or snow plough) in emergencie...

Re: LondonSkate Shoppers Delight 23.05.2012 GO

How many stacks due to traffic counting cables? Folks, they're not hard to deal with and they won't trip you up if you just glide straight over them. If you brake over them, you set them twanging and then they catch the people behind you I think I'm going to start shouting "hologram" when...

Re: Hi! Ex-hockey skater

I'm hoping to join you all tomorrow on the LondonSkate, it's a shame I didn't join in before now as the nights are getting darker and the weather worse. I did a charity 55 mile cycle on the weekend so my knee is playing up a little but should be fine tomorrow. It's a bit lonely being in a city wher...

Re: Goodwood Roller Marathon - 14th Aug 2011

Will this affect the M25? Will part of the M25 be closed? Looks like I need to leave even earlier than expected :( Just got this at work: Please note that clients heading by road to Heathrow or Gatwick airports this Sunday should be warned to prepare for severe disruption as several highways, includ...

How about a pair of speed skates?
You should be able to skate even with ankle bracelets.

Re: 'Come & have a go' intro to downhill skating/racing - Au

The downhill run at Hog Hill (the Redbridge cycle circuit at the east end of the central line) is really tame - hell, I did it on a skateboard, and I suck. I visited Redbridge cycle centre for the first time yesterday and went down this hill on my speed skates after watching loads of long boarders ...

Re: What Skates to Buy?

Well, I'm using a pair of K2 VO2 MAX skates right now.
With 90mm wheels they are fast and comfortable.
I only use them street skating and in the park.
I'm going to buy myself a pair of K2 Mach 90 skates when my current pair gives up.

Re: LondonSkate 1st June;Barnes

I love this route (y)
A lot of smooth with some very rough.

The first half is a like the WNS.
The second half of the LFNS is faster with fewer stops.
