Re: Can serpentineroad.com be improved? [POLL]

Just to throw my tuppence into the Mike debacle, I do believe it was as a result of the community being dicks. We're all fully aware that slaughtering other peoples skating adverts is frowned upon. Mark posted a skating advert & I recall I responded with one small sarcy comment with regards to t...

Re: Can serpentineroad.com be improved? [POLL]

I don't agree with the opt-in thing for the tarting forums, and I'm not sure I do for the x post count entry, either. Someone can already choose whether or not they wish to read Foo, it's not thrust in their faces, and I think it provides a window for people to view our community. Going by Dan's exa...

Re: Can serpentineroad.com be improved? [POLL]

There used to be a freestyle forum at the LSFC site, but with the odd exception, it went largely unused. I believe the US guys have a fairly active slalom forum, but the London slalomers don't seem to take much interest - unlike the rest of us, they still hang out at the park most nights.

From minimal experience with quads, I'd say to the contrary. That's why quad skaters often look like they're having a poo.

You may not call me by my first name until you either earn another cup, sufficiently deride Naomi or are courted by Quentin/Bry.

Re: Soft/Hard/Rain Wheels?

Hard wheels: ⋅ Longer lasting; ⋅ Faster; ⋅ Harder ride (less forgiving on rough surfaces); ⋅ Less grip Soft wheels: ⋅ Softer ride (absorbs bumbs better); ⋅ More grip; ⋅ Slower; ⋅ Wear out quicker Heres what i know: Hard ...

I'd be weary of putting your bearings through extreme temperature changes, in the risk of warping the races.

To save me chilling my nuts off as the sun gets cold or going to the pub afterwards straight away and losing another weekend, I fancy going to Jermyn Street for the 4pm showing of "Jihad! the Musical." It finishes next week. Tickets are £18 (£15 conc) if anyone is up for it. Have bought...

Just stumbled in the door. Despite the cold, I think that was possibly one of the top Santa Skates we've ever done. Big thanks out to Spoz & the Catholics for making it happen; Stevie, Dave, Paul, the pilots & indies for sound; The LS & LFNS marshals for keeping it together with such a l...

Re: Lemons 2010 [Le Mans chit chat, etc]

By the way, if anyone fancies dropping over to ours (just across Ashdown Forest in fact) over the Christmas period, we'd be more than happy to let them play with the ponies. We've even got a few yearlings in.
Just drop me a message.
