Skating in Leeds or Sheffield

Im off to visit friends in barnsley thiss week which is pretty rubbish for skating. So was thinking i might go into leeds or sheffield one day do a bit of shopping and have a little skate about. having never skated either place i was wondering if anyone on here has? if so which place is smoother and flatter lol. Any help would very helpfull thanks.

I remember Sheffield has a tram network which might be worth bearing in mind if you are skating around it.

I don’t think either city is particularly flat but Leeds is the flatter of the two.

Sheffield is very hilly just to warn you. You might be able to find some good spots though.

Leeds has an indoor roller disco Wednesday nights, run by an ex member of the Nottingham skaters. Details are at http://www.skatefever.co.uk/
