Skate shops in/near/close to Norwich?

Postby Stoo » Tue Jan 17, 2012 8:27 pm

I don't think I'm going to have the chance to get down to London any time soon, so I'll probably need to look a little closer to home.

I only really know of Skatewise in Norwich, there was reference to some other "skate shops" on Google, but they seem skateboard only, and only Revolutionz has a working website, but seems to be pretty much 100% ski and snowboard despite what Google tells me..

Does anyone have any idea which brands Skatewise sell these days?

I know I really need to fit some skates on before buying, but if they don't stock Seba, Powerslide or at least Fila, or K2, I guess I'll have to wait until I can get down to London.. :cry:

Skatewise is a bust:

If its aggressive we stock Remz, Razor, Alchemy, Valo
If recreational ones SFR are our main brand but we can get other ones on request

I was looking more along the lines of Seba/Powerslide, but I'd need to try some on for a good fit..
Which is a problem if you don't stock them..

:o

Not sure if there is much else "local"..

No idea about skate shops in Norwich, however it seems as though you may end up buying your skates through the post.

If you do that, and want to buy Seba, you may find the below size guide useful. I used it when deciding what size to get for my red Seba Highs (which I got from Paris as no shop here had them) and the fit is spot on.

Seba FR Size (UK / US / EU / Mondo) --------> exact sole length (mm)

#UK 3 / US 4 /36 / 23.5-----------> 233
#UK 4 / US 5 / 37 / 24-----------> 236
#UK 5 / US 6 / 38 / 24.5-----------> 245
#UK 6 / US 7 / 39 / 25.5-----------> 253
#UK 6.5 / US 7.5 / 40 / 26-----------> 261
#UK 7 / US 8 / 41 / 27-----------> 265
#UK 8 / US 9 / 42 / 27.5-----------> 270
#UK 9 / US 10 / 43 / 28-----------> 279
#UK 9.5 / US 10.5 / 44 / 28.5-----------> 285
#UK 10 / US 11/ 45 / 29-----------> 294
#UK 11 / US 12 / 46 / 30-----------> 300
#UK12 / US 13 / 47 / 30.5-----------> 306

Is that the old "draw around your feet and measure" trick?

Would it be better to go up or down a size if you're in the middle of two sizes with Seba? Are they generally tight or loose for a given size?
