Skate Guard

Postby DarrenR1100 » Mon Apr 23, 2012 12:22 pm

I think I've gone mad!!!
I've signed up to be a skate guard at our local roller disco OMG
Was a guard at the ice rink when I was about 17/18, but I'm 4 stone heavier and nearly 30 years older. What have I done ???

You'll be fine! I'm a similar age, and a pretty average skater at best. I recently volunteered to be a skating steward at a one-off night in Hackney downs. It was loads of fun!

Enjoy!!

Thanks Phil, I'm actually enjoying my skating, not as fast as I was, but that's probably down to the skates I've cobbled together !!
An old pair of Vert X inline aggressive skates, with the inlines removed. An old quad plate from god noes what skates, rip roller 56mm wheels with BSD speed bearings. Pretty heavy set up, but fine till I cane afford some thing better
