It's nice. If you really want to feel like a local, make sure you sneer at it and treat it with a certain degree of contempt.

Now, that would make you feel like a Londonner. Parisians love it, mainly because it's not plagued with people from the suburbs (like La Défense or - to a lesser extent - Montparnasse!)

...and of course true ice skaters just go to their local rink. I've been to the Boulogne one last month, it's great. Granted, it's not free and the skates are just average - but compared to Bayswater... no comment!
