Yes the figure-of-8 'cross-over' is along the long wide centre spar of the course, as Barrie says, so there's a huge area of tarmac and a considerable distance for us to swop sides, and that's travelling in the same direction
. Sort of like merging lanes. We may use cones to assist the tracking, or adapt the course altogether if for any reason we feel that's best. But the track is very wide everywhere, the main runway section is - well, the width of a 747! - about the same width as both carriageways of the M25
. Huge! The top section is maybe the width of 3 normal car lanes (guessing) so we shouldn't have any shortage of road to play with.
The 'figure of-8' circuit is 1.75 miles long. The track obviously has lots of corners and the merging cross-over in the middle, so it should always be an interesting skate, and it's so wide that at skating speeds even the Hammerhead corner should be a comfortable sweeper.
