Skatefresh's 13th Birthday Party - 11th August 2012

Skatefresh becomes a teenager and turns 13 years old this summer. So we will be celebrating in style on Brighton seafront for a day of skating fun. Starts from 1.30pm all day till dark and will include a street skate at 5pm, a slalom showdown, roller disco style dance, high jump and general fooling about.
Location this year is slightly different to previous years due to the West Pier skate pad being taken over by Segways. So we will be at Hove Lawns, near the Lawns Cafe.

I am thinking of a potential theme, but so far no ideas coming to mind (welcome suggestions). I don't think we all need to dress like teenagers (but then again any excuse to get the black eyeliner and torn fishnet tights out.....)

I always look forward to this day as a time to catch up with all my clients, friends and instructors, to skate for fun and relaxation and just enjoy what we all love about skating. The Brighton asboxes will be around and I hope to have Paul's Thumpers along for the ride as usual.

It makes me so happy there is now a 'Brighton Crew' to welcome down the London and other skaters. When this first happened for Skatefresh's 10th Birthday there were very few local skaters there. Watching Brighton develop and thrive as a skate community is really wonderful. It's going to be a fun day.

I will also have a bunch of hire skates down for the day if people want to bring their non-skating friends to have a go. I plan to bring to Brighton Bikram Yogis.....

Me and Moo are off on Holiday on the Sunday so if we make it down we will have to split in the evening.

It would be great if you could come, you are part of the fixture! I'm afraid I can't have any people staying the night this year as I am now only living in the small room in my flat and the large room is rented out to a new flatmate (as I'm in London so much). I would be honoured if you could still come and we can start your holiday off in style!
