SkateLondon is all set for the August Bank Holiday weekend!
Registration has just gone live at http://blitzfestival.co.uk/registration/
There will be the usual fare of
We also have some unofficial events planned such as limbo, high jump (with a ramp) etc but will have to play be ear depending on timings on the day.
As it will be part of the overall BLITZ Festival, there will be a lot of other things going to delight your senses,
Saturday will be a huge Scooter competition, Sunday Loco Skates are bringing their Beach Jam aggro event to BLITZ, Monday we have a roller marathon organised. There is also a plethora of longboarding and skateboard stuff going on for everyone to get involved in (Free workshops for anyone with a freeride pass!) and also some of the top UK riders will be down showing off their skills. We also have the guys from The London [Juggling] Convention down who will be doing impromptu shows and workshops throughout the weekend.
Camping will be available once we organise it, and there is also a Premier Inn only 1.5km down the road if camping isn't your thing.
We still need to confirm bands, but we are looking to have live music in the evening on one night, and a rollerdisco on the other night. And drinks will be available!
There is a gigantic kids play area on site so it is very family friendly as well.
This is our first year attempting something so ambitious and we are really relying on people coming down and checking it all out. It is being organised by us purely for the love of it, and any profits will go back to the community to allow them to run other local events throughout the year, and also to our good friends at Wheels & Wheelchairs. With it being our first year it is difficult to get sponsors to commit so we are really dependent on people coming down so please come and enjoy all the hard work we have put in to creating a great event for you
