I know I haven't logged in since January of last year, but I've gotta take a moment to say goodbye to SR. I was visiting the site to see if there was any advice for an old set in his ways fruit booter to pick up quad skating so he can be a part of his fianc├®e's new roller derby obsession. Now to see that the doors are closing - sad times!

Can't really believe it's been so long, I remember when we all migrated from LondonSkaters.

So long, SR, I miss my days of forum obsession and my time as a Traffic Warden.

Ah, damn, that's sad to hear. I couldn't have bought my first skates online without the help from the great people here. I think I managed to pass on some useful information onto others, there after.

I'm in Canada and I only log in every few months to get my rocks off on endlessly discussing skate sizing and other skating equipment issues, but I enjoy it every time that I do. Even with the trickle of traffic, I think that it is quite a valuable resource, actively or archived.

Whether it stays alive, gets archived, or put into the grave permanently, thanks and it was great having discussions on skating that no one else gives a shit about.

Sad, and it's ironic that SR, and the website that caused its downfall, both started within a few days of each other.
Who would have thought, in the heyday of SR, that it would wither and die so quickly?
What would it cost to preserve it as a read-only site?

I would love to archive the site as a set of static pages for the public forums, but I don't have the time to figure out how - there might be a plugin, or some way of crawling it, but if anyone else can assist, then I'll do it.

Many thanks to all Organisers and Contributors for many happy hours spent here. 8)

Guess I'll completely loose touch with what's going on in the London Skate Scene now.

Camberley Skaters forum is still running, thanks to Dogsbody, but has little traffic. cskate.co.uk

Have been meaning to put an ASBOX page together on Face-ache.

Keep an eye on the Serp road facebook page for details in the future... https://www.facebook.com/groups/serpentineroad/
