Sainsbury's flyer

Postby PeterC » Wed May 26, 2004 2:42 pm

Saw one on the checkout, they are trying to push lunch and ready meals for those cash rich time poor types, has a piccie of a lass in some Bauer inlines (nasty plastic chassis looking things) carring a full shopping bag and eating a sandwich. With the line "Grab lunch and bag dinner in one go"

The back has a couple of money off vouchers and some blerb, the last line of which is "Get your skates on. Just nip in and nab the lot at Sainsbury's"

....anyone fancy taking it to the Marble Arch branch?

Totally evil, but I think if we armed our selves with said flyer it would be more than slightly ammusing.

I would be well up for this, I've already told that Security Guard to "Shut up before I slap You".
On the other hand I reckon boycotting them is the only answer.

Oh that'd be great. Owain had an argument with the security guard on Sunday after the stroll. He let me and 2 others in on skates and then decided to stop Owain (who argued a pretty good case).

PeterC you are a genius, can we organise a small demo of skaters for the weekend?

surely 60 (or any sized group) skaters will cause major alarm, but if everyone goes in 1s or 2s, with the flyer... They might kick the first couple out, but eventually they'll have to give in

...don't think that group en-mass would necessarily do our cause a whole lot of good though?!

My mate works at a Sainsburys, could get a box full, hand them out to every skater on the London Skate and make a stop at the Marble Arch one on the way back to HP...hehe

Oh god they're gonna regret that advertising campaign!!!!
Some poor marketing assistant will probably get fired for suggesting it!
