10 o'clock news skating item

Postby Steve » Thu May 27, 2004 12:01 am

When we got home tonight Anna changed channel and the skating item from the 10 o'clock news was being shown. Great timing! There isn't much but I've uploaded it. You can get it from here. It's DivX and 4.5MB in size.

NOT HAPPY!!! I made every effort to tart in front of the camera and they didn't show one single shot of me. To top it off, Chris (not the back marshal Chris) didn't get any footage of me on my own bl**dy camera.

Was great to see us get a mention on the news though.. Hurumph!!

Yes you're there, as well as everybody in the front when the skate left the Park.

Of course, the TV crew did not think about setting their cameras in more interesting locations, like somewhere just outside of the Park where real street skaters (who are a bit late) wait for the skate to pass by - no, no, they had to film inside :(

Cheers for the recording, Steve! :)

Funny :)

Should the gouvenment help us to organise some general public exercise then ?

Thanks for giving me that little taste of the skate while my feets&ankles would not let me join after a fall on sunday...
(yes we had a very bad tactic this sunday at LSST race meeting : this is to make co-team-members fall while racing )

LOL

This is exactly what I was saying last night... with the NHS being crushed by obese people, and the rising numbers of jouneys in cars which are short journeys (of a couple of miles or so), I reckon instead of pouring money into the NHS there should be government issue skates... admittedly they'd be worse than the Decathlon £35 ones but what they hey?

Even if the codec is bunk, you should still be able to hear the background sounds.

Yeah, but I would like to see it as well! And I know there is something I can download but I've forgotten what it was.

I've found it. :)

The article was repeated every hour overnight on BBC News 24, until something more interesting caused them to edit it down.

Yeah. I saw him right at the start and wondered who was going to want to get anywhere near him!

Did he drop out half way round? Didn't see him after we'd left the park.
