Did he drop out half way round? Didn't see him after we'd left the park.

Nah - he was hanging around the back when we got to Barnes Common and I think I saw him a few times after that

We got complaints about him so I suspect poles will now be banned from the skate as he is a menace to those around him in a tight group.

I'll have a word with ski pole dude if I see him on the skate next week. There have been numerous complaints.

I've started making people at work refer to me as "TV's Alan Crozier".

All I can see is some semi-ginger bint at the start. I can hear the sounds though! Which codec do I need to download?

download the kazaa lite codec pack
http://www.k-litecodecpack.com/

the large version has an alternate video player called BS Player which does snazzy stuff (like let you set a video as a desktop pattern etc).

also available (probably from there) is VideoLan, which is a player which has all the codecs embedded in it.

n.b.: codecs are like 'translators'.. they mean your current video player can interpret a variety of video files.

AVICodec says the the Video Codec is Divx v5 (FOURCC DX50), and Audio is MPEG Layer-3 (0x55). I've got them installed (things work), but I couldn't say which Codecs I've installed in the past gave me this.

AVICodec has a nasty habit of pointing you at the Nimo Codec pack in these circumstances, and I can't particularily recommend installing Codec packs, since they often cause more problems than they cure. :(
