yes, prayer of the rollerboys is a must-see, it's so ghastly it's actually quite enjoyable.

I watched "prayer of the rollerboys" the other day. it was watchable, and funny (although a lot of the time I was laughing at them rather than with them.

How have I not seen rollerball?

In the opening scene of "Nick of Time", actually not a bad film, there's a bad-ass skater causing mayhem in LA's Union Station. Even then (1995) skating was being portrayed as deeply uncool.

Well, Hackers and Scott Pilgrim both have people on inlines at some point ... if you're open to quads then there's Roll Bounce, Whip It and Subway (that last one was a real treat for me 'cause I'm a big Luc Besson fan )

(the original) Rollerball was kinda hard work at times with slow dialogue-heavy scenes and many plot holes, but it's also rewarding with some interesting concepts from a geeky point of view and there is some good skating ... the making-of includes interesting info about the skating side of things, too.

Only 'cos it hasn't been mentioned yet as it's a really bad movie but "Steal" (known as "Riders" in the USA) opens with a skating bank robbery that completely rips off the AWESOME Easy Money
