Rollerblade RB 90 vrs Seba GT 90

Hey guys,
Been thinking alot abt getting a pair of skates with bigger wheels(90mm max though). Ive got a pair of twisters @ the moment for freerides and HC evos for slalom both on 80mm wheels. So I'm basically looking for more speed when I'm on the road. Ive tot abt getting longer seba frames n hyper perfomances wheels but i just felt like the total cost (£125 for 4X84mm @ proline or $188 for seba GT frames and wheels from skatecrazy) with a lil extra money could get me a brand new pair of fitness skates (£179 seba gt and $259 RB 90). It's down to these two awesome skates obviously...lol, but I can't seem to b able to make up my mind. It would hv been way easier to just go with the RB 90 cos of its close resemble with the twisters (which im totally in luv with @ the moment) but its frames seem way too long for me (285mm vrs 276mm on GT). Then again i also hear that GTss are bulky/heavy n mayb alil clunky. This probably sounds crazy but i dont want to lose manuevability completely as well. I would absolutely LOVE candid opinions from anyone, especially from people who own either 1 or has tried both b4. Also, any online store in the UK where I can find the new seba GT, all I seem to find are the old ones

PS: I also tot abt rollerblade fusion 84mm/90mm but I just don't like those skates...Too bulky 4 a girl IMO

RB 90 are lighter and have much lower balance than GTs. It depends really what are you looking for:

-strong, high-performance, easy to handle fitness skates that will take some beating, but aren't suited for hardcore freeskating - get RB90.

-skates more suited for freeride - get GTs. Or even better: Seba FR 90 or search on ebay for Fusions X7 (i know you don't like the looks, but I've seen many new pairs for about 115$ or so...)

With lower balance i mean your foot is closer to the ground (285mm frame from RB90 is lower than 276mm frame from GT 90). Also weight distribution in skate is shifted more towards wheels, to the ground, as boot is lighter.

I'd say abt 27.5cm so the size on my twisters is Uk8

Did you measure both feet? Anyway, if you have 27.5 cm you need indeed EU42.
And it's true GT's are bulkier than Twister/RB 90 (same boot just different color and soft cuff). Still the GT's are good skates and perhaps they suit your feet. Economically I'd rather get the GT's. In case they don't suit your feet you could sell the boots only and keep the frames.

By the way, I have Twister in size EU41 and High's in size EU40. Hence I believe you would need GT's in size EU41. It seems Seba skates are bigger than RB.

I measured only my left leg. I actually wear size UK8/EU42 for my twisters and UK9/EU43 for the rest of my skates (HC Evo/Seba Fr2). Different brands, different boot shape and sizing I guess. I've been thinking seriously abt selling of the fr2s to make room for a new pair of 90mm wheel skate and mainly cos it alil roomy around my toe area (weird, especially since the size 8 completely crushed my feet)

True...mayb I should just get the RB-10 since I already hv a great experience with the twisters. Probably worrying alil too much abt maneuverability...I dunno.

I'd recommend measuring the right foot as well 'cause it's not uncommon that feet vary.

I see a downside with the RB-10, the liners are pretty thin padded in comparison with FR-liners. FR-liners fit into GT's; no modification necessary. And from my experience I would never want to downgrade to RB liners. FR-liners all the way for me. When you own FR2's you should know about the liners.

About the maneuverability, it's all about getting used to it. Crossings definitely feel different. But hey practice, practice..

So whatever your choice might be, I want to see photos.

Just one remark: be carefull for the size of the GT : the sizing of the GT, High and most other Seba's is different from the sizing of the FR1 and FR2. Ceck the size table: http://skatecrazy.net/sizing.html

Yes - it makes skates a bit easier to control.

So I went out today for a very long distance on my FR2ss (very heavy ). On that note, I just might stick to RB-10 knowing that it would be very light since the twisters are. I'm afraid the GTs might be heavy too. I personally don't think one need extra weight when skating long distances. It's bad enuf that I had to ascend a lot of hills....Umm azumi u shouldn't worry so much abt RB liners especially since FR liners fit them like u showed us

Yea I think Rollerblade's generally cheaper in the US cos it's an American company (same as K2s). Il put up some pictures as soon as I get them but its gonna be alil while though

Rollerblade isn't American anymore, bought several years ago (2005 or 2006 I think, don't remember exactly when) by Tecnica because it is a better/more famous brand name for inline skates than Tecnica -> its Italian now. This is the reason why most Tecnica inline skates disappeared and the famous Tecnica Twister became the Rollerblade Twister.

No the RB10 frame will be stepped, i'm really happy they are still making these I was worried they would replace the twister style skates with the fusions (which are UFS btw)
