Now it is time to start organising the equipment van too. It will probably be very similar to last year - Central London pick-up on the Thursday night with St Pancras drop-off (meeting the Eurostar) on the Monday night. Details are still being worked on but we thought we'd let you know we were hoping to do this as it may affect some of your travel plans.

For the benefit of other teams, what team names were selected? Important because (for those who didn't realize yet) teams are allocated to pit boxes based on their alphabetical name ordering this year.

LondonSkaters Enduro
LondonSkaters 5.0
LondonSkaters Fast
LondonSkaters Chilled

Names could be subject to change, but will probably stick with at least London at the beginning.
Welcome your feedback for the second team given that you're in it (I sent an email earlier today) :-)

Mit's got a team called "London Wheelers". Not sure what Paul's called the "Misfits" this year.

Van option sounds good to me, including the timings.

I think 'Londonskaters chilled' should have been 'Londonskaters Guinness Cold' ;)

A potential name mooted was: "London Slags in Slinky Tops". we could have even abbreviated it

Right, I've got the remaining slots on my team filled. Do you reckon it is worth it to email and try and get our pit box moved so we can be with you lot?

Looking forward to this already!

If anyone still has slots available, I have a friend who is keen to come. She's our neighbour, Susan. Lovely German girl. Any takers?

The van has been booked :) The ferry has been booked :)

The arrangements will be:

Bag drop-off: the Vic on the Thursday evening
Bag pick-up: St Pancras to meet the 21.03 arrival on the Monday evening

Charge for LSST members: £15 per bag
Charge for non-LSST members: £20 per bag

Those of you who were there last year will have seen how full the van was - we couldn't have fitted in a pocket sized pack of tissues if we'd tried! This year we have asked for a bigger one, but even still, we would ask that you let us know in advance whether you intend making use of this and for how many bags.
If we do end up "full" priority will be given to those bags we knew to expect.

Would anyone be interested in chipping in towards some portable air conditioners for our pit lane?

I've had 2 drop out so I have 2 more spaces on my team. Must be a registered student for the 11/12 academic year.

Got a friend looking for a place on a team, please PM if you have one. Not a student, but she is rather quick.

I also had a word about getting our pits moved in with yours, but they were quite strict on the rules this year. I would change the name but that would make us ineligible for our category

Our lot are leaving London about lunchtime (as we have to get there from up north first) and our train back is Monday morning.

Does this mean you lot will still be at the track site Sunday night?

Some of us are living the high life :-) Got a cheapish hotel booked for Fri and Sun night in Le Mans centre.

This camping business is too much hard work. ;-)
